Having a 2 year old and first film at the same time basically makes me a master at juggling a lot of things, or one could say the exact opposite thing about my juggling capabilities!
I love running and I used to be an avid runner most of my life. Although it's not always possible anymore to make running a part of my daily routine, I do try and fit it in a few days a month. But if I am unable to, I have realized that I don't really have to stress over it with a young girl and my dog Juno in my life! Running around them plus running around my film's work keeps me on my toes. I walk the dog twice a day - while dropping my daughter to her school and then while picking her up. I take the staircase, throw in some stretching at home and hope I eat home food as much as I can. This is why I like cool looking activewear leggings, I just have to slip them on and I am set for all day and for any activity.
It may seem like my fitness is not anything to talk about, it may seem like any other day. But I remember a day when I walked the dog for a kilometer while carrying a very restless baby in another hand and still managed to crack a creative idea that was bothering me that week. That felt like my very own triathlon. That was magic.
I feel I am able to accomplish many things by not overthinking my fitness regime and by just being active and moving around all day. I guess the trick is to just show up - at work or at home or in your mind.
